About the Opportunity

Rohit Group is expanding! We are currently looking for a full-time Project Manager to join our team from our office in Calgary, Alberta. You will be overseeing a brand new multifamily / multi-unit, wood-framed residential project that is breaking ground in early 2022.

As our new Project Manager, you will be responsible for all aspects of the development, design, and construction on assigned projects, collaborating with various teams to ensure that all project requirements, deadlines, and schedules are on track. 

Your key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Project Management of several multi-unit / multifamily projects, including planning, implementation/execution, and evaluation
  • Reviewing engineering drawings for design development
  • Coordinating of permitting activities for various projects
  • Developing and executing of procurement and contracting plans
  • Preparing of proformas for numerous multifamily projects
  • Coordinating of procurement and contracting activities
  • Coordinating of site works with engineers and subcontractors
  • Maintaining clear communications between multiple departments (e.g., design, finance, construction, safety, land development, etc.)
  • Project Document Control
  • Change management
  • Reviewing invoices before processing
  • Tracking and updating costs and schedules

About You

To qualify, you must have at least 3 years experience managing multifamily / multi-unit wood-framed residential projects (50 units or more). We will also consider candidates with concrete, high-rise residential experience. A completion of at least one related project from beginning to end (planning, design, construction, and delivery) is required.

Any post-secondary education, preferably in Architectural Technologies, construction-related programs, or equivalent, will be considered an asset but not required.

To succeed in this role, we also require skills, experience, and qualities in the following:

  • Valid Driver's License
  • Project planning and cost management
  • Technical building design and construction knowledge
  • Computer proficiency (MS Office, Excel, Google Suite)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Accurate and detail-oriented
  • Job task planning, decision-making and problem-solving
  • Math skills relating to estimating
  • Ability to read blueprints and soil reports
  • Flexible and adaptable to rapid change
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships
