About the Opportunity
Country Prime Meats is currently looking for an enthusiastic Maintenance Manager to join our team on a full-time basis in Lac La Hache, B.C.
The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for overseeing and maintaining the facilities and properties at Country Prime Meats.
Some of your key responsibilities within this role will include:
- Installing and repairing of a building’s mechanical system, along with upkeep of property
- Developing and implementing procedures/policies for effective property maintenance
- Contracting and supervising temporary or third-party personnel to ensure duties are effectively performed
- Designing and implementing preventative maintenance programs which reduce the risk of equipment failure and maximize productivity
- Conducting research to identify new and advanced equipment that will serve as better alternatives for the replacement or upgrade of worn-out machines
- Carrying out regular inspection of building facilities to ensure they are operational and efficient
- Conducting the repair of a building’s electrical/heating system or delegating a maintenance technician to do so
- Overseeing the management of maintenance budget, expenses, and equipment depreciation
- Ensuring compliance with fire safety procedures and policies
- Monitoring equipment inventory and placing orders when necessary to ensure availability of required technological resources
- Keeping accurate record of maintenance logs and providing reports to management on daily operations
- Conducting regular health and safety risk assessments to identify building/equipment hazard
- Ensuring that all maintenance/testing operations are in accordance with acceptable standards
More About You
In order to qualify for this role, you will need prior experience in a similar role; a Bachelor’s degree in a field such as facility management, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related technical/management discipline would be an asset, but not required.
As our ideal candidate, you'll join us with excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with the flexibility and ability to adapt to a new environment. Utilizing your strong problem solving skills and aptitude for attention to detail will ensure you carry out your responsibilities diligently. You'll have strong interpersonal skills with a resourceful mindset, and be comfortable using computers, planning tools and other relevant technology.
Above all, you'll be an enthusiastic individual with excellent interpersonal skills, who is looking to contribute to the business as a whole.

Lac La Hache, located in the Cariboo region of British Columbia is situated about 20 km north of 100 Mile House. Lac La Hache is a beautiful lake well known for its kokanee fishing as well as its trophy size lake trout. During the summer months, the Lac La Hache area, including Lac La Hache Provincial Park, attracts many anglers, boaters, swimmers, and water skiers. In the winter, there are incredible opportunities for skiing and snowboarding at Mt. Timothy Ski Area.
