About the Opportunity

BNP Paribas Group currently has an exciting opportunity available for a Talent Acquisition Manager (12 month contract) to join our team on a full-time basis. Though we are currently working remotely, the successful candidate will be expected to be based within or relocate to the province of Quebec. The job position is based in Montreal and is a temporary, 12 month contract position. The successful candidate will have opportunities to apply for other positions in the company once the contract has concluded. 

As part of the Human Resources team, the Talent Acquisition Manager is responsible for leading and coaching a team of Talent Acquisition Partners while providing exceptional service to internal and external clients. Working closely with the Head of Talent Acquisition, you will be an active member of a dedicated Human Resources team that brings life to the Human Resources Strategic Plan. You will develop and implement talent acquisition strategies designed to fulfill BNP's present and future staffing needs. You will be responsible for implementing recruiting strategies, sourcing, and contributing to the success of your team in Canada by developing a diverse and international talent pool.

With varying levels of responsibility and autonomy, some of your key responsibilities in this position will include:

  • Hiring, coaching, and developing a high-performing, motivated, and happy talent acquisition team that loves going above and beyond to help the rest of our team with their own hiring goals
  • Partnering with other areas of Human Resources including Business Partners, Employee Relations, Learning & Development, and Compensation
  • Maintaining recruitment metrics and circulating regularly to HR and hiring managers and assisting with workforce planning initiatives
  • Sourcing new search firm relationships and ushering through the approved vendor process
  • Developing recruitment reports and trends in recruitment that will determine best places to recruit
  • Providing talent analytics, tracking candidate pipelines, quality of hire, time to fill
  • Building and leveraging your working relationships with our internal business partners and external contacts across the organization
  • Keeping abreast of market conditions, competition, best practices and trends that could impact hiring practices
  • Creating a seamless and positive experience for hiring manager and prospective candidates
  • Creating processes, tools, initiatives, performance management and learning to support talent acquisition across the business
  • Managing the completion of team member performance reviews
  • Identifying the learning and mentoring requirements of the team support
  • Ensuring all internal audit requirements and BNP recruitment policies are properly implemented

More About You

In order to qualify for this contract role, you will need an undergraduate degree in Human Resources or Labour Relations or equivalent, with 5+ years of experience in a full cycle in-house or agency recruitment role overseeing hiring, along with team management experience. You have a history of managing and leading talent acquisition programs with excellent writing, time management, interpersonal and communication skills in both French and English, with familiarity of relevant employment law.

As our ideal candidate, you'll join us with excellent organization skills, with the ability to grasp new tools and systems quickly. You are ambitious with the ability to operate autonomously, and possess a strong attention to detail. You have exceptional communication skills, with the ability to read, analyze and playback complex information on challenging topics, with a passion for workplace diversity and cross-cultural sensitivity. In addition, you have the ability to work well both independently and in a team environment, with a history of dealing with confidential issues in a sensitive, efficient and professional manner. Familiarity with all Microsoft Windows applications is required.
