About the Opportunity

Currently, High Prairie School Division is searching for a Speech Language Pathologist to work within the Division’s boundaries in High Prairie, Alberta.

Please note this role will commence August 24, 2021 and follows the school calendar year.

In this role, you will provide a continuum of supports to school-age children at the universal, targeted, and individualized level, and also support the capacity of staff and parents to respond to student needs.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing diagnostic assessment and treatment recommendations
  • Report writing
  • Supervising paraprofessionals
  • Consulting with and mentoring staff, as well as providing professional development

In order to qualify for this role, you will have a Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology. You must also be eligible for membership in ACSLPA and/or Speech Language Audiology Canada (SAC). 

Please note that a valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle is required. If selected for an interview, you must also be able to produce an original, acceptable, recent Police Information Check, including CPIC, Vulnerable Sector and Local Indices Search, at the time of the interview.
