About the Opportuntiy

Bernhausen Specialty Automotive currently has an opportunity for an enthusiastic Parts Advisor to join our team in Langley, on a full-time basis.

As our new Parts Advisor, you'll be responsible for assisting customers by advising, sourcing, selecting and ordering required parts in a timely, accurate and cost-effective manner. This role will also see you managing the inventory, prioritizing orders and ensuring accurate parts' liability.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Helping customers and answering any technical questions they may have.
  • Sourcing parts at the right value by cross-referencing rates and adapting depending on the parts, vendors and customer.
  • Overseeing the flow of parts by monitoring the inventory.
  • Keeping orderly records of all repair orders, invoices and special-order parts.
  • Reviewing each invoice and packing slip to ensure the ordered parts are correct and all pricing is in line with the estimate.
  • Returning parts as required as well as tracking and following up on cores.

More About You

In order to qualify for this role, you will join us with a technical background in the automotive or truck industry, or have an interest and knowledge in this field. You'll also need to be proficient in various computer programs and software, including internet applications. Previous experience working within a service department is an asset, as is a Red Seal certification.

As our ideal candidate, you'll take responsibility to safely execute the work promptly and efficiently while demonstrating excellent customer service and communication skills. Your knowledge of the industry, along with your can-do attitude, organized mindset, stress-management and problem-solving skills, will ensure your success in delivering quality workmanship.
