Your new career

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our dynamic team. This full time role will operate on a remote basis during the current pandemic with the aim of returning to our downtown Vancouver office once the pandemic subsides.

Working alongside a team of specialists and sales associates your primary responsibility in this role will be to help our clients find their ideal candidate by shortlisting and interviewing the candidates that have been sourced for a role.

Working to coordinate our shortlisting process across a wide range of roles and industries from entry-level to C-suite, your day to day activities will include:

  • Working with clients to establish what their ideal candidate would look like by managing multiple candidate pools using our applicant tracking system (ATS), screening applications, categorizing candidates, and continuously communicating feedback throughout a campaign.
  • Developing a tailored interview guide for each role based on the client's expectations and requirements.
  • Shortlisting candidates based on a client's requirements.
  • Working with our in-house Recruitment Marketers to ensure potential candidates are asked appropriate screening questions.
  • Carrying out two-way video interviews on shortlisted candidates and sharing them with the client.
  • Discussing shortlisted candidates with the client and working with them to coordinate final interviews.
  • Carrying out reference checks and criminal background checks as required as well as facilitating online behavioural tests.

In order to succeed in this role, you'll need previous HR or recruitment experience along with excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders. This role will see you spending a lot of your time talking to people so it's important you are comfortable communicating both by phone and through online video tools such as skype. Individuals working within recruitment that love to talk with and learn more about candidates, but are less passionate about the admin of ad placement or the business development of agency recruitment, will excel in this role as those other aspects of recruitment are carried out by other dedicated members of the team.

On any given day you may find yourself communicating with a new graduate, an experienced hiring manager, or a seasoned CFO across a variety of mediums; as such you'll need to be a comfortable speaker and capable of pivoting your interpersonal approach with ease.

This truly is an enjoyable, satisfying position with plenty of opportunities for growth. If you love working with people and really enjoy the idea of helping candidates find the next exciting step in their career then we want to hear from you.

The Benefits

For your hard work, you’ll be rewarded with an attractive annual salary based on skills and qualifications. Additionally, you’ll also enjoy an excellent benefits package which includes:

  • A comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision and more.
  • Life and Long-term Disability Insurance.
  • Quarterly staff awards nights, parties, and celebration of achievements. Past events have included painting classes, bowling, and renting out a boat! Our most recent event was a skiing trip.
  • The opportunity to attend the annual Global Gathering - in the past, we've been to Vegas, Singapore, Cancun, Paris, Hawaii and New Zealand, to name a few.
  • RRSP matching.
  • Complimentary gym access and free coffee/fruit and snacks in the office.
  • Employee recognition awards like our values award or the bobblehead that every team member receives after a year of working with us.
  • Two (2) weeks’ vacation time to start, with the opportunity to earn up to five (5) weeks as your career with Scout Talent progresses.

Our organization's culture is underpinned by the core values of innovation, enthusiasm, ownership, success, respect, transparency, and wellbeing. If this is a culture you think you could thrive within, then we want to hear from you!
