About the Opportunity
Currently, Skookum Scaffolding has an exciting opportunity for a Yard Manager to join our team in Delta, BC on a full-time basis. This role will see you working mostly outdoors with some office work inside an onsite trailer.
As our new Yard Manager, you'll work to run and manage our scaffolding yard. Your key responsibilities within this role will include:
- Managing incoming and outgoing materials.
- Loading and unloading relevant site materials.
- Safely operating equipment such as a forklift, skills saw, drills, etc.
- Managing the maintenance of work vehicles such as Flat Deck Trucks.
- Driving Flat Deck Trucks.
- Carrying out timely and accurate reporting of hours and work completed.
- Managing resources, materials, and tools in the yard.
- Carrying out all work in line with our code of conduct.
More About You
In order to qualify for this role you will need at least 2 to 3 years of warehouse or yard experience along with previous experience managing at least 2 to 3 employees. You will also need a class 5 Driver's Licence for this role. Experience driving Flat Deck Trucks is an asset as is experience with Microsoft SharePoint.
As our ideal candidate, you'll join us with excellent communication skills in both written and verbal form. Strong leadership, organizational, and timekeeping skills will enable you to work effectively towards deadlines. Your strong collaboration skills will ensure you keep the team motivated as you guide them towards delivering a quality service.
