An Opportunity to Make an Impact

Currently, Cooledge Lighting has an exciting opportunity for a technically minded and assertive Program Manager to join our team in Richmond BC on a full-time basis. This role will operate on a remote basis during the COVID-19 pandemic. 

Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, this role will see you focusing on developing and managing the project timelines from new product conception to product manufacturing and through to the launch of the product. This will entail leading, influencing, and working with diverse cross-functional stakeholders to create and manage project timelines all the way to the successful execution of launch. 

While no two days will ever be alike in this exciting and fast-paced role, some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and managing all aspects of project and program engagement from planning, external vendor relationships, communications, resources, budget, change, risks, and issues. 
  • Working closely with the Management Team to develop comprehensive project plans with deliverables that are clearly established and communicated across the company along with responsibilities assigned and accepted by owners. 
  • Ensuring that projects and programs are proceeding according to scope, schedule, budget, and quality. 
  • Identifying and communicating relevant project risks and developing appropriate mitigation strategies to manage those risks and issues. 
  • Providing the appropriate level of communication to different stakeholders, from program teams to the Management team, on the status of programs.
  • Leading and collaborating with a diverse cross-functional team operating in multiple locations and time zones and which span Engineering, Product Management, Operations, Marketing and Sales.
  • Providing leadership, mentorship, motivation, and supervision for the project and program team in order to establish a culture of collaboration, transparency, and accountability. 
  • Establishing buy-in and holding the team accountable to project goals, their responsibilities, and project milestones. 
  • Establishing practices, templates, policies, tools, and partnerships to ensure excellence in the execution of programs. 
  • Acting as an internal quality control check for the projects. 
  • Participating and driving feasibility studies, vendor selections, and proposals for evaluation by appropriate key stakeholders. 
  • Understanding interdependencies between technology, operations, and business needs.

More About You

In order to qualify for this role, you will need a bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline along with at least 5 to 10 years of Program/Project Management experience in a technology company. Preference will be given to candidates with a PMP certification as well as candidates with a background in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or the Lighting Industry.
