About the Opportunity

Community Living Fort Frances and District currently has an exciting role for an experienced Director of Finance & Facilities to join our team in Fort Frances, ON on a full-time basis. This role will operate on a compressed work week resulting in two long weekends per month. 

Reporting to the CEO, as our new Director of Finance & Facilities, you will be responsible for all finance functions, asset management, technology, and facilities of the overall organization. 

While no two days will ever be alike in this pivotal role, your more typical responsibilities will be:

  • Acting as a member of the senior management team and providing feedback and counsel based on the needs of the organization's finance and facilities.  
  • Working collaboratively with the organization's funders. 
  • Working alongside supervisors and managers to support them on finance-related matters. 
  • Advising the CEO and working collaboratively with the CEO on matters related to finance and facilities. 
  • Managing a team of 2.5 individuals and supporting their development as well as overseeing the areas they hold responsibility for. 
  • Reviewing and working on both payroll and accounts. 
  • Working collaboratively with HR on matters that impact finance and facilities. 
  • Offering the support of financial knowledge on grant proposals. 

In order to qualify for this role, you will need at least 5 years of relevant experience along with a CPA designation and strong analytical skills. You will also need a valid driver's license. Previous experience working within the non-profit sector is considered an asset. The accounting and payroll software that we use are Adagio and Ceridian Dayforce so previous experience using either of them is also an asset.

About the Benefits
