About the Opportunity
Accurate Fabricating currently has an exciting opportunity for a Lead Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in Surrey BC, on a full-time basis. As our new Lead Mechanical Design Engineer, you will provide technical data and support to project managers, manufacturing, and installation teams to bridge the gap between design and product delivery.
While no two days will ever be alike in this fast-paced role, some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Creation of CAD models, parts, assemblies, and drawings
- Creation of Bill of Materials for all the assemblies
- Create and/or support the creation of installation manuals and other product documentation
- Maintenance and rework of existing parts and assemblies to conform to current standards
- Create fabrication part drawings
- Mentoring and guiding others in the engineering group
- Adhering to Health & Safety regulations while ensuring best practices are followed
- Defining and aligning individual goals with departmental goals and ensuring regular performance feedback is completed through formal performance review.
In order to qualify for this role, you will need at least 5 years of experience in a similar position, with related industry experience as well as a demonstrated ability to lead a team. A Mechanical engineering degree, EIT or P.Eng is preferred. Advanced training and ability in Autodesk Inventor & AutoCAD is also required for a candidate to be successful within the role.

The successful candidate will have strong communication skills, with the ability to lead and engage with other team members as well as external stakeholders. Your dedication towards the work that you do, as well as your passion and determination, will ensure a high level of customer service for our clients and the production group.
