About The Opportunity

Due to an exciting period of growth and development, SmileSonica currently has an opportunity for a Director of Sales (Dental Industry) to join our team on a full-time basis. This role can be based out of either Vancouver, Edmonton, or Toronto.

This role will see you using your connections within the orthodontics industry to build new relationships for our brand and drive sales for our flagship product, the Aevo System™. Our goal is to be the industry leader and it will be your job to get us there through hunting new opportunities and by building a dedicated sales team, from the ground up, that will report into you. 

While no two days will ever be alike in this fast-paced and exciting role, some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing effective sales strategies in order to achieve mutually developed sales targets.
  • Establishing productive and professional relationships with decision-makers in customer accounts. 
  • Negotiating and closing agreements with customers including national accounts. 
  • Building and leading a nationwide sales team.
  • Managing and overseeing the daily operations of the sales department.
  • Monitoring and analyzing performance metrics and suggesting improvements to ensure targets are met. 
  • Preparing and reporting sales performance on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. 
  • Providing timely and effective sales solutions that are aligned with clients' needs.
  • Liaising with Marketing, Operations, and Product Development departments to ensure brand consistency and outstanding customer experience.
  • Keeping abreast of new product launches and ensuring all sales team members are on board.  

More About You

As a leader in our company, you'll lead by example spending a large portion of your time focusing on bringing in revenue, talking to clients and prospects, and inspiring your team through your results. 

In order to qualify for this role, you will need a minimum of 5 years of sales experience along with significant experience in the dental or orthodontics industry and a degree in Sales, Business Administration, or a similar relevant field. You'll also have hands-on experience with CRM software and sales performance metrics as well as in-depth knowledge of managing a high-performance sales team. As the current pandemic subsides, this role will also require you to be flexible to travel.

Your aptitude for stakeholder management will combine with your empathetic nature to see you thrive while you work towards building our client base.
