About the Opportunity

Midtown RV Ltd. currently has an exciting opportunity for an experienced RV Technician to join our team in Penticton, BC on a full-time basis. 

As our new RV Technician, you'll work to diagnose, inspect, adjust, repair, or overhaul recreational vehicles. You'll also have the potential to specialize in maintaining gas, electrical, hydraulic, plumbing, or chassis/towing systems as well as repairing generators, appliances, and interior components. 

Your key responsibilities in this role will include:

  • Reading work orders and examining vehicles needing repair in order to determine the nature and the extent of the damage. 
  • Inspecting RVs to diagnose problems and performing necessary adjustments, repairs, or overhauls. 
  • Identifying parts needed, estimating costs, planning work procedures using parts lists, technical manuals, and diagrams. 
  • Installing, repairing, and maintaining the interior and exterior components. 
  • Repairing and maintaining propane gas and electric appliances such as furnaces, refrigerators, water heaters, ranges, and air conditioners. 
  • Repairing and working on body and structural components such as roofs, siding, windows, doors, vents, awnings, floor coverings, cabinets, counters, plumbing systems, electrical systems, propane gas systems, batteries, and charging batteries by installing, repairing, replacing, and maintaining.
  • Performing maintenance and repairs on trailer frames, undercarriage, and suspension. 
  • Using testing equipment, troubleshooting techniques, manufacturer's specifications, and internet websites to assist in locating faults and performing repairs. 
  • Using computerized and electronic devices for testing components. 
  • Performing pre-delivery inspections. 
  • Updating work orders per established procedures. 
  • Communicating as frequently as appropriate with the Service Manager, the management team, and the customers in order to ensure timely, efficient, and economical repairs. 

In order to qualify for this role, you will need an RV Technician Red Seal Certification along with a minimum of 3 years of RV experience. Experience with Airstream and Newmar is preferred. 

Above all, you'll be an enthusiastic team player who is passionate about the work that they do and has good verbal communication skills.
