About the Opportunity
Currently, Precision Label is looking for an experienced Flexographic Label Press Operator to join our team in Calgary, AB on a full-time basis.
As our new Flexographic Label Press Operator, you'll work collaboratively with our team to carry out the following responsibilities:
- Mounting plates or cylinders and making necessary adjustments.
- Filling ink fountains and controlling both colour and viscosity.
- Setting up the press and operating it at a slow speed in order to check the samples.
- Monitoring a regular press run for quality using a computer-controlled console.
- Removing and cleaning plates and cylinders at the end of a press run.
In order to qualify for this role, you will need at least 5 years of previous experience as a Flexographic Press Operator along with an aptitude for working meticulously with a high degree of attention to detail. Knowledge of Webtron, Mark Andy, or OMET processes are all considered an asset.
As our ideal candidate, you'll have excellent communication skills in both written and verbal form. Your strong interpersonal skills and your ability to work collaboratively with a team will combine with your technical knowledge and experience in order to ensure your success in this role. Your ability to solve problems decisively will serve you well as you work diligently towards competing deadlines.
