About the Opportunity

Currently, the Bronswerk Group has an exciting opportunity for a technically-minded Project Manager to join our team in Brossard, Quebec on a full time basis. 

As our new Project Manager, you will report to the Director Systems Project as you manage the human, financial, and operational resources required in order to meet contractual and company-related obligations of projects assigned to you with the ultimate goal of ensuring profitability and customer satisfaction. 

More specifically your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing day-to-day leadership for the members of the assigned project team.
  • Participating actively in the execution of the project while communicating all relevant updates with both the project team and the clients. 
  • Monitoring the quality of system solutions as well as timelines and costs in order to ensure contractual obligations are respected. 
  • Managing installation projects in collaboration with the local site manager in order to ensure goals, timelines, resources, materials, and budgets are all aligned. 
  • Developing appropriate HVAC designs for the different spaces on board ships including all supporting calculations. 
  • Resolving installation issues in a timely manner while ensuring that all requirements and any changes are understood, documented, communicated, costed, and applied. 
  • Monitoring progress, earned value, deliverables, and acceptance plans against plans while mitigating any issues should they arise. 
  • Monitoring the time and technical activities of projects and ensuring that deliverables meet contract requirements and that customer acceptance is achieved. 
  • Coordinating supplier deliverables with project timelines and ensuring quality. 
  • Coordinating with Product Engineers and Packaging teams to ensure their deliverables are aligned with the project requirements. 
  • Leading and supporting Installation Managers located in different yards and providing assistance in overcoming technical, supply chain, and client issues. 
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for the customer. 

In order to qualify for this role, you'll need at least 8 years of experience in HVAC system engineering design or experience operating/maintaining HVAC systems along with a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. A differing mix of experience and technical knowledge may also be considered. Previous experience with or knowledge of HVAC-R design, heat transfer, thermodynamics, preparing control system P&IDs, calculating heat loads, air balancing, duct sizing, pressure drop for ducting and piping systems, equipment selection, and noise calculation are all required. While a PMP certification is not required to apply for this role, it is an asset.
