B2Gold is a low-cost international senior gold producer headquartered in Vancouver, Canada. Founded in 2007, today, B2Gold has operating gold mines in Mali, Namibia and the Philippines, a mine under construction in northern Canada and numerous development and exploration projects in various countries including Mali, Colombia and Finland. B2Gold forecasts total consolidated gold production of between 860,000 and 940,000 ounces in 2024.

Position

Expeditor, Edmonton

Location and Reporting Structure

 Reporting to the Logistics Coordinator, this position will be based in the Edmonton Office.

Responsibilities

• Contact vendors, place orders, and verify supplies, ensuring communication with suppliers for accurate delivery dates;
• Drive a cargo van to collect and deliver orders to the consolidation point, ensuring timely delivery to the end user;
• Actively participate in the receiving and inspection of materials, equipment, and supplies, immediately addressing discrepancies or damages;
• Consolidate purchase orders at transit warehouses when necessary and expedite critical shipments to meet production and project schedules;
• Monitor delivery timelines, assess vendor performance, and verify that supplies meet company requirements, specifications, and regulatory compliance;
• Check invoices to verify alignment with purchase orders and contract terms, enter all required shipping transactions into the ERP system, and maintain accurate records of orders, shipments, and deliveries;
• Create reports as requested by the Logistics Coordinator and end users; and
• Proactively identify and address potential delays or issues, informing the Logistics Coordinator of any challenges and taking steps to prevent disruptions. Perform other duties as assigned by the Logistics Coordinator.

Competencies and Requirements

• Five (5) years’ experience in an Expeditor role or related required (mining or heavy industry environment preferred);
• Diploma in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related required;
• Certified Forklift operator and a valid driver’s license is mandatory; and
• Familiarity with SAP or any other ERP systems is an asset.
