Position
Personnel Coordinator - MLA, Nunavut
Location and Reporting Structure
Reporting to the Superintendent, Travel this position will be a fly in- fly out 3x3 rotation based in Nunavut, Canada.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate the safe, efficient, and timely arrival and departure of B2Gold Nunavut’s employees and contractors. Oversee the day-to-day management and maintenance of accommodations for personnel at the MLA site;
- Assist with the check-in and check-out process for employees, ensuring a seamless transition. Oversee the assignment of rooms and living spaces and maintain accurate records;
- Address concerns and grievances, escalating issues to the supervisor when necessary;
- Communicate travel updates, changes, and bookings to current employees and new hires. Procure relevant documents related to camp and travel;
- Maintain detailed records of accommodation assignments, occupancy, and maintenance activities. update databases, create reports and spreadsheets to track accommodations availability;
- Fulfil any administrative duties to ensure smooth operations of both the charter and commercial travel functions;. Liaise with System Controller on issue relating to accommodation in Innfinity program;
- Provide critical contingency coverage to all roles within the structure in the event of gaps due to vacation, leaves etc.; and
- Advise management of occupancy levels and maintenance requirements. Generate reports for senior management on camp capacity and travel concerns as necessary.
Desired Competencies and Requirements
- Four (4) years’ experience in a high-volume travel coordinator role, support coordinator, or project support coordinator role with preference given to those with prior experience in mining environment;
- A High School diploma or equivalent;
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively; and
- Experience working with Indigenous groups in a professional capacity considered an asset.
Compensation and Benefits
For informational purposes, the estimated annual earnings are $101,972.00 for 2184 scheduled hours (combined regular hourly rate of $37 and overtime rate of $55.5) in a work year.
