Position
Maintenance Scheduler - MLA, Nunavut
Location and Reporting Structure
Reporting to the Superintendent, Maintenance MLA or Designate, this position will be a fly in- fly out 3x3 rotation based in Nunavut, Canada.
Responsibilities
- Schedule maintenance activities for both manpower and contract resources, and assemble work packages for all mobile and fixed assets within operations;
- Exclusively use the CMMS system to manage backlog and develop realistic schedules for Maintenance Supervision;
- Oversee and monitor work orders for both on-demand and scheduled maintenance activities;
- Track and expedite parts for outstanding work orders, closely monitoring the parts backlog and updating work order status in the CMMS as necessary;
- Contribute to and document daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance schedules, ensuring CMMS work orders are updated with completed work details as required;
- Develop and maintain a CMMS training program, providing training to new team members as needed;
- Collaborate with the Planning and Implementation Specialist to create a tracking program for long-term planning, budgeting, parts orders, and resource availability. Support the development of master data in the CMMS;
- Perform administrative tasks such as reviewing forms, creating files, auditing service invoices for accuracy, handling department correspondence, and filing (both physical and digital), along with CMMS data entry; and
- Ensure deadlines are met and adapt to changing priorities effectively and Promote B2Gold Nunavut's safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
Desired Competencies and Requirements
- Five (5) years of experience in maintenance planning and scheduling (or related) roles, with preference given to those with experience in mining environments and specifically fleet maintenance. Proven experience in expediting, manufacturing, and production platforms;
- Red Seal Trades designation in a related field is an asset. Relevant education and experience will be considered.
- Maintenance Management Professional (MMP) or Certified Maintenance Professional (CMRP) designation is considered an asset;
- Demonstrated knowledge of handling suppliers and how to improve them in terms of faster delivery and quality standards. (Improving SIFOT, DIFOT) and
- Working experience with maintenance processes associated with open-pit mining combined with experience in Microsoft Suite and SAP or other ERP software is considered an asset.
