Position

 

Commercial Travel Coordinator, Edmonton

 

Location and Reporting Structure

 

Reporting to the Superintendent, Camp this position will be based in the Edmonton Airport office, Canada.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Manage all commercial travel arrangements in collaboration with travel agents to hub locations and assist travelers with their transportation and hotel-related inquiries;
  • Develop and maintain relationships with travel agencies, airlines, hotels, and other travel vendors negotiating favorable rates to optimize travel expenses;
  • Create detailed travel itineraries for travelers including schedules, hotel accommodation details and transportation arrangements;
  • Communicate travel updates, changes, and bookings to contracted companies and travelers;
  • Coordinate hotel accommodation for travelers in Yellowknife and Edmonton. Ensure compliance with B2Gold Nunavut’s travel policies and hotel policies while liaising with hotel management to ensure compliance.
  • Reconcile daily and monthly accounting statements related to Flights, hotel expenses and provide coding/input for accounting;
  • Work closely with site personnel to ensure all commercially scheduled travelers are registered in the site booking system (Innfinity) and confirm proper hand off to the Charter Travel Coordinator for passengers travel to site;
  • Handle concerns with luggage transport delays or lost items, and arrange for its delivery to the designated site; and
  • Maintain records and generate reports of travel bookings, no shows, and expenses.

 

Desired Competencies and Requirements

 

  • Three (3) years’ experience in high volume, multi-destination, commercial air service coordination;
  • Diploma in aviation management, travel or logistics is an asset;
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively; and
  • Ability to obtain and retain an Airport Restricted Area Identity Card in accordance with the Airport Restricted Area Access Clearance Program regulated by Transport Canada.
