Position
Logistics Coordinator, Nunavut
Location and Reporting Structure
Reporting to the Superintendent, Facilities or Designate, this position will be a fly in- fly out 3x3 rotation based in Nunavut, Canada.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate flight operations and schedule helicopter support for required travel of cargo to site for the exploration team and drilling programs;
- Facilitate the safe, efficient, and timely arrival and departure of personnel (employees and contractors) on requested travel days;
- Coordinate logistics of the movement of parts, supplies, materials, and monitor personnel transported via aircraft from major centers to site;
- Purchase camp supplies, and work with vendors to ensure timely delivery to site;
- Aid in the shipping and receiving of materials and cargo to and from site; and
- Participate and promote B2Gold Nunavut’s site safety procedures and policies to ensure compliance.
Competencies and Requirements
- Two (2) years’ experience working in a travel coordination or logistics role in a remote based operation, with preference given to those with experience in remote mining environments (specifically exploration projects);
- Post-Secondary Diploma in Travel, Transportation, Supply Chain Management, business or related preferred;
- Experience in purchasing, shipping, and receiving; familiarity with Camp Control/Forecast Plus or similar purchasing program preferred;
- Familiar with Microsoft Office programs such as Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.; and
- Experience working with Indigenous groups in a professional capacity.
Compensation and Benefits
The starting regular hourly rate of pay is $35.00 with overtime payable of $52.50.
B2Gold Nunavut offers a competitive compensation package, including salary commensurate with experience, knowledge, and skills, plus a group benefits package for employees and their dependents.
Due to high occupancy during this phase of construction the successful candidates(s) may be assigned shared accommodation. In this event, the incumbent(s) will be eligible for a $40.00 per day shared accommodation allowance.
