Who are we?
Saltbox, a division of the National Ice Centre & Motorpoint Arena Nottingham is situated on our iconic Bolero Square.
Saltbox is the one-stop shop for entertainment, hosting everything from live music to sports to workshops and movie nights whilst enjoying our freshly cooked food and enjoying a themed cocktail in our impressive venue or whilst enjoying the sunshine in our beer garden.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a Venue Manager to head up our operations within Saltbox. Leading on all operations you will be responsible for optimising sales, profitability and guest satisfaction. You will also ensure that training and development of the team is carried out to ensure that all industry standards are met or exceeded.
Ensuring that all event nights are run to the highest quality you will coordinate with the senior management team to manage promotor and event nights including liaising with our chefs and kitchen staff to ensure that food service is of the highest quality.
Leading and inspiring the Saltbox team you will work with the wider commercial team to plan and host Saltbox events and functions. Assisting in proactively promoting sales growth, profitability and guest service through innovation, analysis and attention to detail.
With previous experience in a similar role the ideal candidate will hold qualifications in cellar management, food safety (to level 3) and health and safety. In addition they will hold a personal licence.
They will have a through understanding of the importance of leading with a guest focussed attitude. They will have experience of work with a till and floats and of dealing with cash discrepancies.
Having previously led a team they will have excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
