The National Ice Centre (NIC) sits within the historic Lace Market area of Nottingham. When opened our venue was the first twin Olympic sized ice pad facility in the UK. The NIC was made famous by Olympic legends and Dancing on Ice stars, Torvill & Dean.
As the home of the Nottingham Panthers Ice Hockey team and hosting around 30 games a year, the National Ice Centre is Nottingham’s hub for all things ice skating and ice hockey.
During 2025 we will host Torvill & Deans 50th Anniversary Tour – ‘Our Last Dance’ with their last ever performance together taking place here in July 2025.
Our Ice Sports Sales Coordinator will be key in driving both sales and brand awareness for the National Ice Centre. Prospecting for new business to boost ticket sales for skating sessions and ice sports events. The Ice Sports Sales Coordinator will develop and deliver new sales strategies alongside supporting marketing campaigns to ensure sales targets are hit, promoting our venue and driving engagement.
Part of the Sales team but working closely with the Ice Sports team the Ice Sports Sales Coordinator will respond to customer enquiries to ensure that all sales opportunities are maximised. They will also support the Ice Sports team promoting public skating sessions, skating lessons, themed events, birthday parties, holiday clubs and school programmes whilst collaborating with the venue’s core Marketing team to ensure cross promotion with events at the Motorpoint Arena Nottingham.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in proactive sales (ideally within sport or leisure) over the phone and email, working with B2B and B2C customers.
With excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, they will have strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage their time effectively.
They will have the ability to building strong relationships with customers and key, internal and external, partners.
Due to the nature of our business flexibility will be essential as this role will involve working evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
