Who are we?

We are the Nottingham Ice Centre Limited otherwise known as the Nottingham Ice Centre and Motorpoint Arena Nottingham.  We are the largest entertainment venue in the East Midlands with a crowd capacity of 10,000.

 

With over 100 events each year we showcase some of the biggest names in music, comedy, entertainment and sport.   During 2025 we will see Peter Kay, Craig David, Kylie, Mo Gilligan, Olly Murs, the Scissor Sisters, Diana Ross, Bryan Adams and Eric Clapton.  In addition, as the home of Torvill & Dean we will be part of their 50th anniversary ‘Our Last Dance’ tour.

 

We are also home to the Nottingham Panthers ice hockey team, hosting a variety of home league and cup games each season.

 

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a Restaurant & Suite Manager to join our Food & Beverage team. 

 

With an adaptable restaurant space we can host parties and networking events for up to 120 people.  Whilst we can host 45 guests in our hospitality suites.

 

No two days are ever the same at our venue!

 

As Restaurant & Suite Manager the successful candidate will be given the opportunity to express their passion for hospitality.

 

Reporting to the Hospitality Operations Manager the Restaurant & Suite Manager will manage our restaurant and suites on event days.  Managing stock levels and rotation whilst liaising with other managers from the Food & Beverage team.

 

You will ensure that we exceed customer expectations whilst ensuring a positive work environment for your team.

 

Working with the Staffing Team you will ensure that adequate staff are available for each event and that your team are trained to a high level.  You will supervise and motivate the team and ensure that they are full briefed on the customers booked.

 

You will work with the Hospitality Sales team to understand the guests booked for the day and with our Chefs and Kitchen team to manage day-to-day operations.

 

On the day you will be expected to meet and greet our guests and ensure that they have an unforgettable experience.

 

With experience in a similar role, the ideal candidate will be a team player who has the proven ability to work to deadlines.  You will be friendly, polite and well presented and able to work under pressure when required.

 

You will understand your responsibilities in relation to the sale of age restricted products including alcohol, energy drinks, cigars and vapes.

 

With a good understanding of conferencing and dining you will have excellent communications skills both written and oral.

 

A Level 3 Hospitality Supervision qualification would be an advantage.
