CELLAR & LOGISTICS OPERATIVE

 

We are currently looking for a Cellar & Logistics Operative who will be responsible for ensuring excellence is delivered across all catering & retail aspects of our venue which includes the concourse bars, pop-up mobile units & floor bars, T&D's Café, the hospitality bars & Saltbox bar.

We are the Motorpoint Arena & National Ice Centre, Nottingham. The largest entertainment venue in the East Midlands and home to the Nottingham Panthers. Showcasing the biggest names in music, comedy, entertainment, and sport, the arena hosts over 150 events and welcomes 800,000+ visitors through our doors every year.

WHAT ARE THE KEY DUTIES? 

  • Ensuring all deliveries Food & Beverage related, are quality checked, quantity checked and invoices are handed to the correct people.
  • Ensuring that all areas are stocked up appropriately in a timely manner.
  • Keeping paperwork organised and up to date – including line cleaning, cleaning schedules and delivery notes.
  • Ensuring that a systematic approach is used to control the general maintenance & cleanliness of the cellar, storerooms & service access areas.
  • Ensuring that regular safety checks of cellar, retail & bar equipment are carried out & recorded with defects or faults reported.
  • Complying with Company & statutory regulations relating to safe systems of work, health & safety, hygiene, cleanliness, fire & COSHH.
  • To have working knowledge of draught beer & post-mix systems; including how to perform line-cleans handling gas correctly and set up of cellars are correct.
  • Maintaining & delivering the venue standard operation procedures.
  • Adhering to all legislation on licensing, trading standards, weights & measures.
  • Being vigilant about building safety & the people within it.
  • Having a good working relationship with peers and other departments.
  • To place call outs for any broken equipment, keep logged and make the relevant people aware.
  • To support the front of house team on busy event shifts.

 

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Knowledge of food hygiene, health & safety, COSHH & cellar procedures is essential
  • High-volume catering environment experience is essential
  • Microsoft Office experience is desirable 
  • People Skills, Excellent communication skills, both written and oral is essential
  • Previous experience in motivating peers within your team is essential
  • Someone with good availability as events can be 7 days a week
  • Ability to challenge discriminatory behaviour & demonstrate awareness of equality issues is essential
