Who are we

National Merchandise are the UK’s largest independent entertainment merchandiser.

 

We offer a wide range of services, including Merchandise Development, Venue Merchandise Sales Management and Live Event Merchandise Sales.

 

We manage the venue merchandising teams for the Motorpoint Arena Nottingham, Glasgow OVO Hydro Arena, The O2 Arena in London, Liverpool's M&S Bank Arena and the AO Arena Manchester, to name a few!

 

In addition, we manage merchandise concessions for both one-off and multi-date events and merchandise sales at live, indoor and outdoor events across venues around the UK.

 

No event is too large or too small for National Merchandise! We handle all types of events, from small sporting events to large stadium concerts, including festivals like Download, British Summer Time, All Points East, and many more!

 

What do we offer:

Casual hours (April to September) with the potential of additional work during the winter months.

Expenses paid (fuel, tolls, parking and accommodation).

 

 

Who are we looking for?

Based at the O2 Arena in London (SE10 0DX) and reporting to the Logistics Manager, our Driver will support the delivery of stock and equipment and the movement of staff for National Merchandise events. The role will involve driving various types of vehicles to and from events across the UK and Ireland, including route planning, considering tolls, parking and any accommodation that is required.

 

The Driver will be responsible for keeping to the schedule.

 

 

In addition, the Driver will:

· Be able to drive Luton’s and long Wheelbase Transit (e.g. Fords, Sprinter vans).

· Support in the warehouse; lifting and arranging stock.

· Manual handling.

· The driver will be responsible for timekeeping and route planning.

· Be flexible (times/dates may change at the last minute).

· Assist with the asset and storage control of vehicles.

· Manage the collection of rental vehicles.

 

Required

 

The ideal candidate will have a full UK driving licence with the ability to drive category B, B1 and BE vehicles.

 

Open, approachable and solution-driven with the ability to problem solve, the successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and oral.

 

Due to the nature of our business, working hours will include weekends and bank holidays to support the varying festival and venue commitments. The Driver will also understand and accept that, on occasion, there may be times you will be away from home for a night to deliver planned asset moves.

 

Desirable

Full UK driving licence with the ability to drive category C, C1, CE and C1E.

They will have extensive experience of towing and moving trailers and driving large vehicles. They will understand the driver Tachograph process and the use of Tachographs.

 

· Ensure that Tachograph regulations are adhered to.

· Assist with Asset and storage control of vehicles and trailers.
