Plus, there are many more exciting ice shows and activities!
What We’re Looking For:
We’re on the lookout for dedicated volunteers to support with our events!
As an Event Support Volunteer, you will be joining our existing team of volunteers, where there will be a variety of opportunities available to you.
One of the roles is an exciting opportunity to be an accessibility host. You will be the friendly face that customers can turn to for assistance, ensuring everyone has an enjoyable experience at our events.
Why Volunteer With Us?
Be Part of Exciting Events: Your first opportunity will be the Challenger Britannia Cup, which is one of the five international Synchronized skating competitions within the Challenger series. This will take place on 9th & 10th January 2026. After this, we are hosting the British Synchronized Championships, from the 19th to the 22nd February 2026, paving the way for the prestigious World Synchronized Skating Championship in April 2027.
If you’re not available in January, don’t worry! We have lots of other opportunities throughout 2026 for you to be part of.
Roles available:
- Accessibility host:
An accessibility host ensures that all customers, on those who have access requirements, have a comfortable and inclusive experience at the event. This volunteer position is a customer-facing role which will involve welcoming customers to the venue, checking tickets, directing customers to their seats, also being responsible for opening fire exits in the event of an evacuation and providing customer service.
- Runner:
This is primarily a back of house role involving a variety of tasks, which could be anything from assisting in the Organising Committee office, to running paperwork and other items to different areas of the building, printing/photocopying, taking petty cash to purchase additional stationary or other items from the shop as required, replenish stationary and other diverse tasks.
- Accreditation Support:
This will involve helping in the accreditation office. This is where teams and officials will collect their event accreditation, hand in skater information, hand in competition music/banners, and pay any outstanding balances for hotel/meals/skaters’ party. This role could involve printing/photocopying, checking team payments, taking accreditation badges to ISU (International Skating Union)/officials and providing general support in the accreditation office. Wednesday and Thursday are likely to be the busiest days for accreditation.
Make a Difference: By volunteering in these roles, you'll help create an unforgettable experience for every attendee, from smooth event operations to ensuring everyone has a great time.
