About the Opportunity

Due to growth and international expansion, Apxium has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Development Manager to join their team, and be based out of Vancouver, BC. 

In this position you will be the face of Apxium Canada and will be responsible for building and maintaining exceptional relationships with our existing clients, as well as actively growing our customer base. Reporting into the Sales Director who is based in Australia, this role will have a high level of autonomy day to day, and be given the opportunity to develop and deliver on the growth plans for the Canadian market. More specifically your responsibilities will include:

  • Nurturing our current customers and developing further opportunity
  • Supporting customers and ensuring their needs are met
  • Creating and generating new business in the financial services industry
  • Visiting client offices (when appropriate) to further establish and maintain relationships 
  • Actively contributing to the longer term sales strategy in Canada
  • Liaising with the broader global sales and administrative team
  • Acting as the face of Apxium Canada and ensuring our customers have the best possible experience 

Please note when appropriate this role will require travel to sales events and for sales opportunities. 

This role is suited to an experienced sales and relationship management professional, who is looking for an opportunity to really make an impact in a business going through a significant growth phase. Our ideal candidate will need experience within the financial services sector, preferably coupled with SaaS sales or account management. You will need exceptional relationship building skills, and have a background of demonstrated success within a sales environment, from initial business development through to account management. A background or experience in finance will certainly be highly regarded. 

We are looking for a mature and experienced individual who comfortable managing their own time and working in an independent environment, strongly supported by the Australian team. You'll be goal oriented, ambitious and above all have a high level of professionalism to interact effectively with the industry sector.
